Iran (the person replying was the new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei's advisor) has now responded to this threat... by threatening to close Bab Al-Mandeb Strait too. Trump was already losing it, and now it's getting worse. Looks like Khamanei is out to make Trump have a heart attack out of sheer rage and frustration, and I can't blame him, considering Trump killed not just his father but much of his family.

I looked into it some more. It looks like they actually landed on a makeshift US air strip next to Isfahan and they were blown up by the US on the way out because they couldn't get them out in time so they blew them up to deny Iran two C-130s. The price tag for that was $100 million per C-130 though, not to mention other expenses and losses. Looks like they really did build a very temporary air base as the French general here >>15698 criticized. Strictly speaking, the mission was a success, but the price was pretty bad. Of course, this isn't the same as a special forces op to get the weapons-grade uranium and plutonium out of Iran, so it's not exactly what was criticized either.

I don't think the casualties will amount to that much from a military perspective. Strictly speaking the IRGC is the main source of armed forces at the moment, so around 500,000 soldiers, but the Artesh (which is not a religious force) can field another 500,000, and in the scheme of things in Iran all men have to do 2 years of mandatory military service, Since the revolution, Iran's population tends to be on the younger side, and Iran has a population of over 90 million, so it's pretty easy to recruit replacements that have trained and served as military already to fill in any casualties or even expand the armed forces.
The other question is: Does the US have any casualties that they hid? Given the rushed takeoff and the heated combat, it seems probable enough.
And what is Trump going to do next time an airman has to eject? Iran will have learned their lessons.

Probably. The US has been diverting munitions from Ukraine, Japan, another country I forgot, and possibly more in order to feed the war machine's need for munitions.

>Are we the baddies?
Nah man, the US military is just busy blowing up schools, homes, hospitals, medicine production, bridges, historical sites, and universities because they're just following orders.
Seriously, this is not the US's war. This is Israel's war and the US is acting like Israel's stooges here, war crimes and crimes against humanity included.
On a side note, I suppose a >>>/christian/ would be interested in whether this is one more affirmative point on the "Is Trump the antichrist?" score.
