What're you playing right now? I'm playing DBZ Fusion World (not bad so far) after getting fed up with Munkidori spam in Pokemon, but I'm still holding out for Digimon Alysion which should be releasing towards the end of the year. The Gundam TCG looks promising, so hopefully they'll digitize that, too. In other TCG news, MtG continues to tarnish its name and you will now be seeing Teenage Mutant Ninja Cards in competitions, along with their Final Fantasy and Fallout collaborations.

Imagine "white washing" any usually coloured character from another intellectual property. It would be immediately obvious why people would find it offensive. But because it's a White character from English literature media, it's actually totally progressive and cool to erase our cultural heritage

Lol, you should try YGO if you want to experience true seething in that regard. The meta has permanently degenerated to negates and OTKs.

Anti-eoten racism is NOT okay.
Used to be really into Hearthstone, but like in a typical Blizzard fashion the game got killed by lack of new content and shit balance.
I once made an op Paladin build and won game after game.

They also had a shitty matchmaking where the game purposefully tries to make you lose. Crazy how blatant it was but nobody called it out because it make them addicted.

Lands aren't spells, therefore they can't be countered, and lands with special abilities exist, jadda jadda. And every color has something that makes control decks difficult to work.

A deck around the first card might be fun too, especially if the second card would force control player's hand to waste their counterspells on itself. Any deck type has its nemesis.

TCG games are cancerous trash and a jewish wetdream. You're literally spending very little and constantly losing or spending hundreds of dollars for cardstock that will keep you competitive.
Replies: >>314362

I buy nothing. Pokemon TCG is free and DBZ Fusion World gives you a free deck and the ability to get more cards if you grind through just normally playing the game. Digital TCGs are somewhat following the free game model, now.

I miss the 2010s spoiler seasons. You had to wait a day for the new cards to hit YGOPro, but then you can spend all of next day just playing some fresh bullshit.

No one besides loons and idiots want to play a "free to play" game and grind it put for hundreds of hours just to get a couple decent decks and get matched up purposefully to decks that you have no chance of beating

I never used YGOPro. How does it stack up to Master Duelist?

>>314369
Why do people who don't know what they're talking about always have such strong opinions about things? If you were to join Master Duelist, you'll get a meta deck right off the bat. YGO is a terrible game, but you can still compete at it for free. It also gives you lots of free cards, many of which are also overpowered crap that ruined the game. Pokemon TCG is completely free, always gives you the season's current deck and then showers you with in-game currency (you can't even buy it with real money) and I amassed quite a card library from that alone and was competitive with my Team Rocket deck I slapped together. With the way Fusion World is designed, almost every game is competitive because of the life mechanic, in that when you attack your opponent, they actually get to add cards to their hand, along with their Leader card becoming stronger once they reach a low enough threshold. So, don't talk to me about "loons and idiots" when you don't even know what the fuck you're talking about and are just saying what you think sounds right without any meaningful experience to back it up. God, I hate arrogant ignorance.

>How does it stack up to Master Duelist?
At it's peak it was basically the way to play YGO. The only thing that it didn't have over it's competitor, Dueling Network, was a ranked ladder. There was also some whispers of some card interactions not working entirely correctly but it just worked 99% of the time.
Don't even bother nowadays. There was an open source continuation called EDOPro a few years ago. But a bunch of fags paid off the ecelebs to use their simulator with a forced d*scord hook instead. Another community consumed by the tranny phone app, basically.

Yeah, I'm done with YGO as a whole, too. Master Duel sucked what little fun I still had out of the experience. You either netdecked meta slop or get fucked because it's a BO1 format.
I wish I knew back during the hype cycle that the only point of the game was to make the whales pay for their cards twice. It certainly wasn't to draw in new fans.

Master Duel regularly has classic formats and other such events, but I can't support a game that's become so absurd. Not trying to talk up Bamco too much, but at least their games have a sort of reactionary sense about power creep and all their TCGs (Gundam, Digimon, Dragon Ball) have built in mechanics to moderate them that keep games competitive throughout the game. Pokemon wasn't too bad and you can still overcome meta slop with the right stuff, but it's narrower, more constrained and takes the fun out of the game. Bamco seems to maybe be targeting the disenfranchised part of the TCG audience. What're you playing currently if not YGO?

That was the last time I played in person, and the judge was a soyfag and was talking about "we are inclusive and accepting of everybody and we will respect eachothers pronouns or you will be kicked out" 1/3 of the people were soytrannies or worse, other 1/3 obese cunts, 1/3 were the "old-guard" type of MTG players mostly overweight or otherwise with issues but decent enough people to play with, 1-2 randos who were just normal people.

Last time I played YGO in person was a local (which I won going 2-0 with every single opp) 13 years ago at the height of the XYZ master rule. No trannies at the time still but the smell was pungent and foul like that of a dirty wet dog, sadly all traceable to a single person, whom was a friend of my own and who was accompanying me to the gig. I remember at some point a group of younger kids took me aside and told me "Hey, tell your friend to shower, this is bad" or something, and they were more than right, you could smell him across the room.
