Global warming turned into climate change and both terms seem to distort and distract from the issue of pollution. I have this vague notion that older print media would report more on specific instances of pollution rather then le global warming and ze climate change. Maybe anecdotal or confirmation bias, but it seems like the media used to report more about how some specific estuary was polluted with some specific chemical because of the actions of some specific industry and now the headlines are more about how the aggregate of cow farts are nebulously destabilizing the planet on a macro scale and how that results in the spawning of extra typhoons and hurricanes resulting in coastal real estate damage, with little or no mention of stirring up those already polluted estuaries that attention is no longer being drawn to.
