Why is it so popular on imageboards? Do anons have no good taste?

Congratulations, you don't even know what the term means.

How much of Spice and Wolf have you read/watched to come to this retarded conclusion?
It would make slightly more sense if you complained about the monotheistic church being portrayed as bad, but that's not even fully the case.

Japan is not big on religion. Every time a serious religion got in motion there it came with rebellion/upheaval, hunger for power, the use of religion as a vehicle for greed (Christianity especially), and dead people and suffering. They don't mind spiritualism but serious religion (esp. organized religion) and zealotry have been problem children for a long, long time. In Japan the word "religion" itself carries negative connotations, borderline implying scams, cults, secret agendas, cronyism, secret society bullshit, or some other breed of troublemaking. That's why it's so common in Japanese anime and JRPGs for religion to be exposed as a source of corruption and grievous societal harm that needs to be dismantled.

Unification Church is the latest problem child in Japan. That scandal was so impressive that when Shinzo Abe died and people investigated why and discovered it was someone just lashing out because he was just seriously hurt by the Unification Church (an enormous money-grubbing cult) and their support by Shinzo Abe and the LDP (his political party), instead of Abe's party experiencing a huge boost in polls as sympathy regarding the assassination rolls in (the usual outcome), his whole party got mired in a massive national scandal of supporting and being supported by the Unification Church and started tanking in the polls. Hell, there was a lot of sympathy for the assassin as the story got rolling.

Before that I guess Aum Shinrikyo was the biggest "known" problem child? (Unification Church was already active and infamous decades before Aum Shinrikyo was a thing.) And before that, still during the 20th century, there were other problem children too, including when nationalists came up with state-controlled shinto as an organized religion (well, they argued it was secular patriotic/cultural practice - it was fucking weird - but it was very much about ideological control) that managed to fuck over loads of people, including preexisting shinto shrines and priests.

I never disliked 2hu imaegs until they were, you know, spammed for no reason. Everyone liked wojaks until they were spammed for example. Is there a brain defect that makes you dislike sharing feels and makes you only like things from a shallow 'it's cute' perspective even when the cute posts have zero substance, not even text? Just an image after image after image, and once the inane imgae dump slides off it starts up again for all eternity? I get that bullet hell is like a rainning of bullets but must we have a rainfall of lolis that are not even lewd, it cheapens them. What is the point of the general, to make them feel cheap? I snicker every time I think about Holo's pagan host village in the beginning of the series converting to the Church for anger over Holo sometimes bringing forth a paltry harvest to let the land rest. Because the Church's Jew book has something similar about not sowing, or harvesting, every seven years to let the land rest. I guess the part about religion being le bad is, perhaps unintentionally, pointed to the people who convert for material reasons without reading the details.
Replies: >>285611

There is a difference between letting all fields stay fallow once every 4 years (but staggered evenly between those years) and getting 3/4 of usual global harvest roughly once in 4 years. You know why? Because even if the first scenario makes the global harvest consistently only 3/4 of the maximum possible value, it's stable over the years. The other scenario is nominally better if you add the harvest weights, but it doesn't allow for planning forward regarding food storage, taxes, expenses and village expansion. No surprise here.

The reason why judaism aren't listed as judaic is because it is the religion of a aspiring to-be master race (jews), everything else listed is spirituality and religions made by jews for their slave (everyone else, especially Euripids). If you xtians keep having this closed mind, you will soon have a fate worst than genocide. The paranormal and mystical exist.
