How would imageboards be affected by a post tip (donation) feature?

Imagine that a popular imageboard (ie. cuckchan if it was alive), and/or a bunch of altchans at once, introduced a "tip" feature where you can tip posts that you like. Kind of like that Reddit Gold shit but it's actual money.
Like, you could tip a post with something like PayPal or even crypto or that BAT shit, and then the original poster (this would be stored either with a cookie or with an account) could cash it out or re-tip it to another post. If a poster isn't active or doesn't do anything with the money they got for a set amount of time, it would be refunded to the person who tipped, and if that failed, it would just go to the site owner's pocket. And other than that, there would be only a minimal or no tax at all taken by the website (other than payment processing fees, of course). And let's suppose that most people would trust that this is legit and that the site owner wouldn't scam anyone.

How would this affect imageboards and their posts? Would we see more high quality and OC posts? Would we see more insincere posts that are just there to pander to someone to get a tip? Both?
Would we see shameless posts explicitly begging for money (and would they even ever get it?)?

And let's imagine that a tip counter was displayed on each post. How would that affect posting in this case? Would there be people/shills purposely donating to their own posts to make them look good? Would there be a contrarian thing where some people would look down upon "tipfags" and posts with tips and whatever, and maybe even blame them for the problems of the site?

I want to see your thoughts.

I'd love it since I learned there are a lot of lurkers who appreciate effortposts but don't come out to reply to them.

No! We are not turning into reddit. Cuckchan died for a reason.

You would see the most bland normalfag takes get promoted because only a normalfag would want to give their money to some random nobody in a website.

This exists on NOSTR via lightning network. Seems to work there so I think it's worth trying it on an imageboard.

It's a neat idea. I think you would want to make sure you don't let the money reward affect visibility of posts, though. Continue to list things on the board in chronological order.
Secondly, you need a way to identify posters, at least on the server side. I don't think a cookie is a great way to do it, rather an account would be better. The accounts don't actually have to be visible on the userside, just to the server, so everyone remains anonymous. Then the account could have a payment method attached to it (optional if anon doesn't want to give that info out), either a paypal sort of thing or a crypto address. Let the site skim 1 or 2% off all payments, and donor is responsible for any fees involved. It could work.
I do worry about flooding the site with third worlders trying to make money, like others have mentioned. Not sure what the best way to do that is. You could just ban all Indian IPs or something, and only the ones who can figure out a VPN could get through. The backend account system also gives you some moderation tools, since you could ban accounts or ban them from getting money. But you'd have to think about a way to stop people from just making new accounts that balances users' preference for privacy. I wouldn't want to use a site that requires a phone number or collects hardware addresses/unique identifiers, for example.
I don't totally know what sort of posts would be rewarded most heavily; I guess it depends on the userbase. Would they shell out for high quality effortposts and OC, or for things that "do numbers" as twitterfags say?

jews would destroy the system pretty quickly

I think monetary incentives of any kind twist the mind of the creator on a fundamental level of Pavlovian conditioning.
Even if it's a donation, and even if the money isn't needed, I fear subconsciously the OP would lean towards making more of what provided the most money, leading to a degradation in variety, quality and everything we would look in fine posting.
Hell just getting more replies and positive feedback is enough to tilt the direction of a creator towards the lowest common denominator, how much more if would a material incentive alter his will?
