Part Two: you should be able to guess what the subtitle is gonna be.

Since I have sat on my ass for too long, I'm not going to bother to make a theme for this one. Like the last album, submit any piece of music you like, ideally make it around 1:30 - 3:00 minutes, one track per anon. No rules regarding genre or quality. Submissions will close Saturday the 12th, or a week following the 5th unique submission, whichever comes sooner. Following this there will be an additional week or two for you to fix your shit and make final renders. (at my discretion)

https://files.catbox.moe/0qrce4.zip

I am providing a 100mb zip resource pack of some random VSTs and SF2, SFZ, etc. Notably the R2R Roland Sound Canvas crack will get you up and running with some classic ROMpler sounds with minimal fuss. (Check out the .mid files to see how SCVA can be set up to use all 16 channel of midi input - though it is reasonably to skip that and just use individual instances: it's lightweight.) I've also included Charlatan which is a simple but excellent synth. Reaplugs offers a variety of decent utilities for those who use toy DAWs. aaand a few other random things for good measure.

There is also GeneralUserGS, a very good alternative to the Roland plugin if you are a loonixfag. I've unpacked it into SFZs and WAVs as well. You can also take a look into setting up yabridge, a crossplatform VST bridge.

The above is provided without warrantee or technical support - figure it out for yourselves you lazy cretins.

You shouldn't be making a new thread when the other hasn't even hit triple digits. There's no reason not to continue using it.

1. old thread was not clearly organized, with missing info and no easily recognizable image in the OP
2. your posts alone would have quickly buried the announcement ensuring no new anons would even know to participate
3. it's fucking /b/ you nigger, I can do what I want

anyway i'm posting a link to redirect anons here just to spite you it's not like i forgot to do that or anything

P.S. you're a busybody middle management-oriented girlbrain for preemptively and unnecessarily making a new thread. Just want to feel like you're doing something important while actually being idiotic. Basically you're a mental tranny if not one outright. Kill yourself retard.

Do remixes count? I took a midi file some really obscure web artist published along side his completed song, put it in lmms, used the Super Mario World sound fount, changed up the instruments, and ended up with this. The first audio file is the remix, the second audio file is the original for comparison.

Remixes are definitely allowed, since we had a couple of touhou remixes in the last one. I'd encourage you to use your head start to make some more creative changes aside from the soundfont swap. Try rearranging it into a completely different genre for example.

I'll try to get off my ass this weekend and whip something up. I've been toying with a project anyway, so this will be a good motivator.

Minor bump, I'm extending the deadline for drafts to the end of the weekend. Because I'm lazy that's what I should have spec'd from the beginning.

I didn't get much done since this last post. I'll throw whatever I have in the thread by Sunday night but I don't think it will be anywhere near finished.

Here's my submission. It's a remix of greenwich in the sky. I really like minimum electric design's "Floatin" and was going to try to make something with those lyrics but I don't have time for this weekend. Still want to fix up a few things but it's alright for now

Consider this a placeholder for my submission. ZZZ won't accept my .wav and my DAW won't output an .mp3 even though I told it to. I'll upload the thing when I get the kinks worked out.

This is the best I could come up with, fixing the audio balance and swapping in another sound fount (Touhou) in place of the second melody track. Here's the .wav file, the midi, and the sound fonts I used.

Alternatively you can find files here.

https://musical-artifacts.com/artifacts/560 turns out it wasn't the super mario sound font it was actually the snes general midi sound font

Alright, it's up.

It may be a smaller release but these are some very good musics.

Should we just keep going with the next one? I think I'll probably hold off until mid-may or june to give us some time. I wonder what we should do to get more participation. Maybe we should just have an open ended deadline until we have at least five tracks or 10m of music? Might be the way to go.
>>251022 (checked)
Yeah, I think giving people a little more time to work would be good. The first one sat around for like 2 months before being compiled if I remember right.
