it was truly what broke my love of cooking for awhile.
I realized I no longer wanted to spend my best years chained to a kitchen, evenings weekends and holidays, only to be as good as my last plate, which, let's be real, is ONLY food, and will be literal shit 12 hours later.
It didn't help that the resort was being sold off to Marriott, and the backstabbing and favoritism was insane.
I'd worked in commercial restaurants and institutional kitchens before that, even as the head cook for a jewish Frathouse.
(Those faggy fucks would eat Wendy's double bacon cheeseburgers for 49 weeks out of the year, but when Grams and Gramps Sol came around with their checkbooks to make sure they were being good kosher boys like for Seder and Rosh Hashanah/Yom Kippur,(Chakka-Khan hwas during break) they sure as fuck wanted Matzoh pizzas and matzoh ball soup.

They drank shit beer though, and were generally retarded deviants, as could be expected.
Their living quarters were shit too that they paid a premium for(4 garbage bunkbeds/room and a blown out group bathroom that was a horrorshow.)
they DID have a stand-up arcade cabinet with Bubble-bobble, and Samurai Shodown.
Many an hour went into that...for free.
Anyway, i went into home building after that. It was probably a year before I really cooked anything good after I left kitchens.
Some are good, some are HELL .
