Since talk about the new leaks is filling up the news thread and since there's clearly much to discuss, I reckon it deserves its own thread which will also work twofold to gauge how far R*of David will go to issue takedowns and how cucked the mods here are.
Relevant recent bits
>"Extended Look" to premier and remain exclusive to Netflix for 6 hours on Aug 26th
>nobody knows what exactly it is about but the length is apparently just under 30 minutes
but more importantly
>biggest gameplay leaks since 2022 disclosing the full map and several "new" and returning mechanics like
>wanted level mechanics mostly ripped off from RDR2
>car maintenance and fuel mechanics
>picking up and throwing objects
>niggerball
>possibly slightly different driving physics
>a dynamic looting system
>drugs
>seemingly more complex hand to hand combat
>rpg-like stats

The leaker has been doing this to promote a shitcoin and made a paid poll which let retards who bought into his crypto rug pull to choose which video he'd release next.

I don't know why normalfags developed such FOMO faggotry over GTA.
I keep reading retards preordering without even knowing if the game is even worth it, shit talking anyone who "dares" them to be cautious before spending their money on it, or even massive retards arguing that GTA would be even worth 200 bucks (even though I am sure they could be paid shills and bots)
No idea why GTA became such a meme game.

because while GTA 1 and 2 were controversial and interesting when they came out, GTA3 was revolutionary. GTAVC was a solid sequel and GTA3 was still unmatched in what set it apart from other games. GTASA was an even more impressive sequel than VC and exceeded the hype around it. GTA4 was another massive upgrade from that and exceeded hype yet again. It added enough revolutionary things that in many ways is still unmatched to date.

GTA5 improved over GTA4 in some areas like mission structure, map structure, and story, and added some features normalniggers wanted while stripping out features that normalniggers never really noticed.

Normalniggers are still hyped for 6 because they didn't notice 5 was a downgrade from 4. Most everyone else like long time GTA fans know 6 is going to be a downgrade from 5.

Yours is a more reasonable take, but normalfags are more like:
<"Dude, it's GTA! You really don't want to buy at launch regardless of price or it's actual quality!? Have fun watching everyone else play while you wait lmao
>As if the game will disappear if you don't play it day one.
<Dude, it's GTA! That famous series of the "we got x before GTA6" unfunny meme!
<Why are you even having second thoughts about buying it the very first second is out!? Do you really want to feel like an outcast while everyone else is playing the game!?
>Well, I don't know about current rockstar...
<It's Rockstar! They literally never disappoint! The literally never made a bad game, they literally, literally literally! Like, literally!
>I don't know it seems way too expensive...
<It's GTA! It would be worth spending 1000 bucks on it! Be thankful it's only 80 bucks for the barebone edition! Stop being entitled and be grateful to Rockstar for even giving you something in exchange for your money instead of just taking your money!!!
>I don't know, the no disc thing feels like a scam, also the game doesn't seem to be that good...
<LET PEOPLE ENJOY THINGS!!! STOP MAKING ME FEEL AN IDIOT FOR CONSUMING WHATEVER THEY SHOVE DOWN MY THROAT WITHOUT EVER QUESTIONING ANYTHING!!!
That's how normal tags are.
I mean, many of those comments might be bots and paid shills, but I don't know why GTA gets all this goodwill and blind loyalty.

Posting the leaker's official page found in the video watermarks, should anyone wish to keep up with any updates:
https://cyberleek.ar.io/
https://cyberleek.turbo-gateway.com/
https://cyberleek.vilenarios.com/

They seem to be hosted on some decentralized or block-chain based service.
The last endpoint seems to be the most stable.

How is this still a thing in the electronic era?

There were arguments for it in the past, when you had to physically grab or mailorder a box with the game in order to play it, but what now? Preloaded downloads before launch day? Preorder bonus DLC? Like >>315817 says it's just sitting in datacenters ready to be piped over a fiber optic cable.

I remember "plz stahp preordering games" was one point from the Gamergate 1.0 era all sides agreed on, but the cattle somehow kept doing it.

>John said he left the gang after they left him but he ends up going back to camp to meet up with Arthur facing Micah and the others.

>Karma gains a pointless change in the dialogue during a cutscene and also decides which ending you get which doesn't matter cause Arthur still dies in the end.
>Sadie Adler.....nuff said
>The diversity gang doesn't really fit the time period nor is what I imagined that shaped John into the cold killer he is in rdr1
>The game focuses way too much on Arthur, treats John like he's an immature idiot and bad father. >They even used Arthur's model but with John's head for the epilogue cause nurockstar doesn't give a shit.

>check what the gta VI mapping project is doing now that the map has been fully leaked
>maybe they're doing some cool comparisons and whatnot
>see this

>Statement
>On handling GTA VI leaks

>Dear Community,

>For years, anticipation for Grand Theft Auto VI has been part of this community. For many, the game is more than a release, it is a long-running project that has been discussed, speculated about, and waited for together. That is exactly why the handling of unauthorized leaks is also a matter of responsibility within the community.

>Leaks serve neither the developers nor the teams behind the game, nor those waiting for the finished release. They take away Rockstar Games' control over when and how its own work is presented. Unfinished material can be taken out of context, create false expectations, and reduce years of work to fragments that were never intended for the public.

>Especially relevant here is the role of content creators, news channels, mapping sites, and others with reach.

>Leaks do not spread only through the original publication, but also through continued coverage. A leak can generate attention for weeks even when the content is already widely known, through follow-up videos, speculation, analysis, and repeated discussion of the same topic.

>This does not mean the current situation cannot be reported or discussed. Clear context and personal views are legitimate. What matters is the difference between a measured, one-time assessment and ongoing coverage that repeatedly turns a leak into content and keeps it artificially alive.

>Not every leak requires its own video. Not every piece of information needs a new analysis. Not every debate needs to continue for days.

>Reach comes with responsibility. Criticism of Rockstar Games and respect for the people developing this game are not mutually exclusive. Behind GTA VI are thousands of people who have invested years of time, skill, and work. Regardless of one's view of individual company decisions, that work deserves a measured approach.

>Criticism, expectations, and concerns can be expressed clearly without dismissing developers and without unnecessarily amplifying unauthorized content.

>This statement is therefore expressly directed at content creators and people with reach: Please consider how much weight you give to leaked material. Inform your audience when necessary. But do not give leakers, through continuous coverage, speculation, and repetition, the attention such releases depend on.

>No platform for leakers.
>No unnecessary reach for leaked content.
>No recurring content built around every leak.
>Respect for the work of the development teams.
>Priority for official releases from Rockstar Games.

>Attention is a choice. Those who do not continuously redistribute, analyze, and revisit leaks help protect not only the surprises intended by official communication, but also their own experience of the game and that of everyone who wants to encounter GTA VI for the first time as intended.

>We ask for a calm, responsible approach: no attacks, no personal hostility, and restraint where reach would otherwise amplify the spread of leaks.

esto es un bro momento.

a fucking redditor did the comparison though, the map is just barely bigger than V, like 1.3, 1.4 at best, vice city is basically the same landmass as los santos, just a different layout.

there's inherently nothing wrong with that. life is made of moments, wanting to be part of something memorable or historical isn't exactly outlandish. now whether the release of a big piece of entertainment is the right thing to want to be part of is up for debate, but I'd argue it's on the less offensive side. whether you like it or not, as someone else already pointed out VI's release is definitely a moment in the history of video james, no shit everyone and their mother is talking about it.

Many large organizations employ varyingly undetectable steganography built into material handling pipelines, varying from minor typos in source files or binaries to watermarks in images or render output, so that leaks can be retroactively isolated to the leaker. It's easier to be sure that lossy compressed videos are free of steganography than an entire game dump, and I imagine the leaker is probably aware of this
