Not infrequently there have been anons asking about games with 2D girls wielding guns, or why there aren't anywhere near enough games that feature 2D girls shooting guns. For once, if the occasion permits I'd like some light shed on this subject, as to what idea for a game anon's got in his head that would require girls and guns.

Girls and guns at first appear like inconciliable realities. Guns imply people wielding guns and the use of firearms, tools which can neutralize potential threats with minimal effort, commodified weapons for a brutal reality which more often than not requires them, and are pretty fun for sport as well precisely because of their macabre reality. The other pertains human beings of the opposite sex, largely neotenous and with stylized bodily proportions to whatever makes the artist's ちんぽ happy. Do they really mix? Games in which guns are integral to gameplay tend to create hostile settings to accentuate the necessity of guns. For instance, Doom has demons as enemies, Stalker has hostile factions and fictional, mutated wildlife, Deus Ex has terrorists, robots and highly specialized military branches of fictional organisms. Their worlds require guns to provide a fair shake against all possible threats to the player. On the contrary, games in which the girls are the selling point require to accentuate the cuteness and/or sex appeal of said girls through matching gameplay. They may do spastic cartoony action if they don't already skip the action entirely, and if they do feature guns said guns may as well be Nerf guns with firearm damage on enemies that look the part. Rarely if ever are there games published that pit cute girls and real guns together and don't compromise on the reality of firearms.

Options for games about girls with guns therefore have to either neuter violence with guns to a point in which the girls are not facing any real danger and the guns have about as much punch as a wet fart, or place cute 2D girls in a hostile setting that can and will take their lives away at a given chance to an audience of depraved grown men with a guro fetish. Would anon take any of these options or is there some other alternative to the eponymous premise? Input your thoughts on the matter and extrapolate your options.
What if the anime girl gets shot and she starts bleeding all over the place and screaming in pain?

Not infrequently there have been anons asking about games with 2D girls wielding burgers, or why there aren't anywhere near enough games that feature 2D girls eating burgers. For once, if the occasion permits I'd like some light shed on this subject, as to what idea for a game anon's got in his head that would require girls and burgers.

Women and hamburgers at first appear like inconciliable realities. Hamburgers imply people eating hamburgers and the use of fast food, tools which can neutralize potential hunger with minimal effort, commodified weapons for a brutal reality which more often than not requires them, and are pretty fun for chewing as well precisely because of their macabre reality. The other pertains human beings of the opposite sex, largely neotenous and with stylized bodily proportions to whatever makes the artist's ちんぽ happy. Do they really mix? Manga in which burgers are integral to the plot tend to create hostile settings to accentuate the necessity of burgers. For instance, Otometeki Koi Kakumei Love Revo!! has the protagonist as the enemy, Erufu-san wa Yaserarenai has hostile factions and fictional, mutated wildlife, Kōrī ga ie Ni Iru has terrorists, robots and highly specialized military branches of fictional organisms. Their worlds require hamburgers to provide a fair shake against all possible threats to the architect. On the contrary, manga in which the girls are the selling point require to accentuate the cuteness and/or sex appeal of said girls through matching character designs. They may do spastic cartoony eating if they don't already skip the eating entirely, and if they do feature burgers said burgers may as well be salads with dietary damage on women that look the part. Rarely if ever are there manga published that pit cute girls and realistic burgers together and don't compromise on the reality of fast food.

Options for games about girls with burgers therefore have to either neuter obesity from eating to a point in which the girls are not facing any real danger and the burgers have about as much appeal as a wet fart, or place cute 2D girls in a hostile setting that can and will take their thinness away at a given chance to an audience of depraved grown men with an architecture obsession. Would anon take any of these options or is there some other alternative to the eponymous premise? Input your thoughts on the matter and extrapolate your options.

Checked, but doesn't this violate the hamburger-to-chemical-energy conservation principle? Where does the metal fat come from, as the biochemical compounds of the cheeseburger cannot be metabolized as inorganic mass? I think we may have found the first real solution to the 2d waifu with guns hamburger obstacle.

Blathering as though you're trying to meet a page count for a school paper while dodging around the idea of making a strong, affirmative statement about anything is hardly what I would call decent, it's just what you've been conditioned to assume is intelligent without really trying to parse the text's actual content. In a forum where those rules of "good taste" are rightly mocked, any post conforming to that model is more likely to be slop than not.

I'm not exactly an expert on rail shooters, but after playing the first level and tutorial, I felt like it was challenging and pretty fun. It's mostly about time pressure and resource management. You are playing whack-a-mole with the mobs as they creep toward you and pick away at your health. Aiming is a little clunky but fine. Movement is limited to pressing a button and running to a different location for cover, and when the coast is clear you get to advance. Hence, 'rail' I guess. Honestly, I think it decently captures the suspense of a gunfight in a movie. The dialogue is fully voiced (in nipnong) so you get the cinematic experience... with... actual gameplay(!!??). It's barely a step above a QTE, but it's not bad. After ten levels I may want to shoot myself, but there's only one way to find out.

You don't have to be a zoomer to be frustrated by the notion that a larger word count is an inherent product of higher quality. It simply isn't true, and neither is the inverse.

My favorite example of this is an essay called "Silly Novels by Lady Novelists". Look it up, it's public domain. It's a rather nice piece of snark about women being dumb, until you get about a third of the way through and it hits you: you're reading a blog post from 2009 written by an sff curmudgeon, or maybe a an editorial by a less-insane-than-average critic. It's the same subject (shitty self-insert fiction from undersexed housewives and cat ladies is a constant, apparently) with the same rhetorical device, the same tone, and about the same level of nuance, just written with twice as many words as it strictly needs because that's what people thought you needed to do to sound smart in 1856. As tainted as the phrase is, we know better now.
