2007 now, that was the shit, to me it was the last year where gayman was actually good.

I think this was a good year all things considered. Some strong net gen titles from the more powerful consoles, even if not all of them were available in English for me until 2007. And some of the better final sendoffs to the PS2

Things have been going downhill since then, I'm sure you're familiar with pic related. But looking back there were still some gems at least around the very end of the decade, maybe worth a mini montage someday.

Things had already been going sour before then and 2007 was a fantastic year despite what happened.
It was simply the perfect storm out of the chaos of the finacial crisis, everything way moee consolidated with buyouts and bankrupcies left and right, especially tech and entertainment.

We're only now seeing efforts against that cancer.

Just the AAA space, indie and AA are faring really good nowadays and that sector has been improving for a solid 13 years.
AAA is going the way of Hollywood, they got too big too fast and simply couldn't manage while outsourcing out the ass.

If that´s so. I may contribute with some footage of games like HL2: ep1. I don´t have that much experience recording my own footage. But I like the compilations of the last two years and I want this to continue. I will try to play and record some vidya then.

Your contribution will be much appreciated. If you need help with recording footage or rendering just ask, I've done plenty of both. 
<TL;DR
Use OBS Studio to record your screen with sound, optimize for recording (not streaming) in the settings, keep your clips short but high quality, and prefer 720p resolution.
