DIRTY, DUMB, AYYLAMO SCUM

X-COM, NUCOM, Xenonauts, come one, come all. There's plenty for us all.
If you aren't aware there is a MP thread that plays xpiratez so if you want to get in on the catgirl corpse assembly line go on and give them a visit.

I've started playing the Xpiratez mod for X-Com and now I demand a general thread about the series and you're all going to partake whether you like it or not.
My piratin adventures be goin well. I have 3 bases right now and only THREE enemy bases on planet. And two are going to stay because they are MERCS and StarGods so fuck that I aint going. This is probably the my best run I have so far, some of the older versions would plop down Sky ninja base and then my game would be over.
>What is the Xpiratez mod
Uhhhh it's like 600 yearsish after the OG X-com defeat and you play a band of amazonian mutant piratez who are keen on making a mess. The OpenXcom engine is pushed to it's absolute limits with a new Melee system, armors, gun stats, special units, CATGIRLS, and even gnomes, the sexy kind. It's long, it's hard, and it's full of seamen, it's Xpiratez. You rob, you pillage, you steal piles of Shotas from the church seriously, I got like 20 of these little bastards. And you untie the crazy world you live in while having as good a time as you can. Eventually you start getting wrapped up in some stuff that's much deeper than you are aware of but that's just what makes it more fun!

Funny enough I never beat the OG Xcom but I got close enough. I've been meaning to try out X-com Apocalypse, I should probably take a trip to the openapoc page and see how their progress is going.
NUCom got me into OG-COM, I can see they kinda tried but they really gutted the system that made the originals fun. Never played Xeno but it's on my list along with all the other spinoffs and derivatives of x-com in general.

NOW ANONS, play X-COM or something like it and be reactionfired to death turn 1 with me.

I was posting am update to my piratez game and got hit by the word filter for cp.
I just got sone of my first space missions. Only hard part was using the old ass UAC spacesuits but I had enough from some catgirls. I now have a little more from some lucky casino draws so no more 300 year old shit.
Im looking into shadowtech now and I'm almost at the codex ships so golden ship soon.
I just started the library project so I'll be at the next leg of the game soon.

I will never be able to wrap my head around the spaghetti tech tree.
>space suit shortage
No Cats 4 Life path? It lets you buy Nekomimi Space Suits.

I did male touch because at the time I didnt know about paths and how they are mutually exclusive of each other so I'm rocking slave soilders, who kinda suck unless they are zone stalkers. Even though FBB mentions this in a comment but I doubt she would be surprised the player glazed over that.. At least they are better than pesants.
I did just get catgirl recruitment after running down the Contacts:Nekomimi tree. I've been scumming just to learn how to get through the game so I've been able to hold onto them but can see how you can burn through them fast. They have the TUs to get into a lot of trouble but not the HP to get out, unlike Gals who can take a titfull of buckshot and punch the offending enemy to the death. Starting in GRORIOUS NIPPON and doing some research gave me that Fuso Plate which is just the tightest shit.

Yeah the tech tree is schizo. I was bottlenecked on alchemy because apparently you needed a BigBone for it. Then I wasn't looking into craft equipment and an ass load of stuff is locked behind something like the automated ariel dogfucker mk4 or something.
Thank God for the wiki and the tree view.

My quest continues. I now need to make sue I have a supply of lasers on hand due to having space missions. I have El Fuego in the research pipe and finally I'm going to get casinos and other gold codex specific buildings up.
The ninjas are showing up with APCs with a turret now and I have a feeling thats going to come to a head soon, and I'm busting into shadowtech. Soon I think I will go after the traders base I have tooling around the planet. I have a squad of some really nice units who should clean up well. The Goldcodes armor comes with built in golden armor which has been a godsend for laser wielding units.
The loli is starting to send me ominous messages in game, should I be worried? I'm poking shadowtech.

Oh boy. Guess I'll find out the hard way.
In other news I'm finally putting together El Fuego. I really need to make a 4th base for another interceptor. The hawk is cool, and I have a faust but I can make a corsair now so I should just start plopping a few down.
It occurs to me I still do not have 250mm rockets after getting the flagship. This tech tree is cock and ball torture.
On the upside I got some defender armor from a Spartan raiding ship so that's cool.

I took out that academy outpost and nabbed me a cutie lil Provost. My reward for my hard word was the mercs going on another secret base mission so now I think I have two. I realized I never went down the light craft weapon tree so now I need to do that for when I make the corsair. I put another base in SouthAmerica and I'll just leave that as a hanger base to shoot down the badmen.
I just hit year two in game and I'm researching diplomacy now. This fucking tech tree is retarded. Thank god for the xpedia.
Ogres seem kinda shit, what's their gimmick?

I'm training one up now. I also have some convict ogres for that sweet sweet master blaster armor.
I have him using that giant fucking gun, the not bolter gun. His TUs fucking suck though. I've also been going through my pile of weapons and starting to experiment more. I've been rocking the advanced rifles on my humies but I now have access to things like hydra lasers and infantry lasers which are just delightful.
That and I finally threw the mortar launcher on a gal which makes me wonder why I've neglected it for so long. That and javelins which are fantastic on throwing gals.

I can see no possible negative outcomes to this particular message.
I have started the ninja war, I think I have what it takes to put them down so I'm somewhat confident about it. I also just took out another base, The Guild this time. Now all thats left is the MERCs ones shitting up my geoscape. Can't wait to deal with those.
The loli keeps bombing me in the meantime but whatever, its just my smelly european hideout.

I ended up loading an earlier save because I was in no way ready for this shit. I also have a belter base nearby which I went into and promptly hit the F5 button. Otherwise things are looking up.

honestly better to just leave them for a few months and blow up all their vessels

Looks like the next pirate update will let you hire lamias.
From what I understand so far is they they will have an easier time going over rough terrain and they will have that bio or acid spit that you see them use in terror missions.

That was probably the most bloated mod I've ever played in my entire life. This run clocked me in at around 1400 hours. Yes that long. I had to change shit like the conqueror recipes to not have such fucking absurd requirements (12500 hellerium to make the fucking power section. Seriously?) . They really need to strip out some of the bloat because it's absolutely brutal near the endgame having to hit 30k+ infamy every month with missions that usually give under 1k while you're building up your forces for the Cydonia fight. The last mission also does NOT need to be 5 massive stages in a row filled with 100+ enemies.

Termicator cats, zortrium and Molochs. Plasma and lots of it.
