I shure do love me them crpg games.
What CRPGs are you nerds playing?

Currently I'm jumping between Pathfinder WOTR and RogueTrader. I find WOTR better than Kingmaker so far but I'll probably end up attempting to finish a playthrough of Kingmaker after I beat wrath at least once.

PF WotR is pretty good in my opinion. Yeah there is some gay shit but the game itself is good, albeit a bit unbalanced when it comes to enemy NPCs.

Currently playing through Neverwinter Nights singleplayer and Baldurs Gate 3. Honestly the former is pretty easy so far it's a bit disappointing, but the last boss of chapter 1 kinda kicked my ass. Still solid I see why people have liked it all these years.

BG3 is solid, but some of the changes to the spells like magic weapon or wards against good/evil having CONCENTRATION is fucking stupid. I swear this is a Larian change, but 5e is shit so it wouldn't surprise if that was the norm. Still, their version of 5e is better than vanilla 5e.

Pathfinder is insanely boring to me, tried playing it 3 times and quit every time. Anything Larian puts out is so insanely overrated it's kind of astounding. UnderRail is good though.

Is Colony Ship worth playing and which wizardry games are good?

Sims 1 feels like old CRPG. You pause the game, give orders and turn 3rd speed to see it play out in an addictive rinse and repeat loop

>Neverwinter
The first module is kinda eh, the second one feels a lot better in terms of encounter design and story if you care about that.
The 3rd module feels like a murder dungeon but considering it's supposed to continue your character off the second module it's fine. You are intended to hit epic levels in it.

For Pathfinder I did a shifter weretouched, fun so far but I miss slinging spells as a wizard. My biggest challenge in these games is choosing a class I feel like sticking with all the way through the game.

Why not just have your main guy do one and a custom companion do the other?

I’m enjoying RogueTrader, though I can’t find the time for it.
>>277796
You could. The story in the second module doesn't connect to the first at all, but the 3rd connects to the second.
You can just import who ever you want though, the game doesn't care.

Meant for PF WotR but I didn't consider that for NWN.

Dragon Question III at the moment. Thought I'd do a Thieves only playthrough, but it's getting rather tricky.

Thief is easily the best class in the game (assuming you're not playing the shit remake), though its dependence on one-off weapons make it not really suited to multiples.

Yeah that's the problem I'm running into, one thief is one of the best support classes but relying on them entirely is a different matter.

>the shit remake
SNES is shit now?
Replies: >>277897
I should say also that I've been ignoring Pachisi loot, which plays a huge role in boosting thieves.
>>277883
I'm pretty sure he's talking about III HD-2D, which is superior to the NES version but not to playing the SNES version with the orchestrated OST and HD mode 7.
Is underrail supposed to be hard or do I just suck?

Its supposed to be hard, using a build from online is expected

Which Wizardry games are even more modern than something that came from a people that just has discovered fire? Easy answer: 6, 7 and 8. That's it. If I remember that right, the saves are compatible with each predecessors from 7 onwards. That means you can import your characters from the last game. Not that you gonna get to do that, because without a premade build, you gonna get eaten by weak wild life and homeless people before you even reach the first level up.

Wizardry games are extremely hard for RPGs. Even the grimoire heralds of the winged exemplar, a clone created by some crank who got frustrated by incompetence and literal faggotry during his involvement in the development of what was originally supposed to be Wizardry 8, is pretty hard. Virtually all Japanese wizardry clones are ridiculously hard.
