You've got a ludicrous sum of money and you lurk /v/. Therefore, you decide to buy a proper game studio to create a game tailored to (You)r tastes. Where would anon put his money on? Have you got any ideas you want to see fully-fledged into a game? Potential sequels, gameplay suggestions or a new riff on a tried game formula; if you've got the autism start typing.

Lately I've been picturing what a proper sequel to Toy Fighter would look like. I really enjoy the idea of a 1-on-1 Virtua Fighter clone where every character is the oddball one and design meshes as poorly as a shitty figure collection. Problem is, character design on the original game is pretty bad. I can only imagine what a game with a similar premise would look like if they hired competent artists to design the roster.
The hobby and figure market, including toys for children as opposed to toys for manchildren, is heterogeneous enough to land on plenty of different niches; sort of like how previous Tekken leads decided on unique and novel character design before Harada took over creatively starting in Tekken 4. It's a shame that fighting games did indeed go down the path of no-fun-allowed, tryhard character design faggotry instead of plain fun.

I think I might make a libre arcade action game in some genre that is sorely neglected by the libre game scene. Perhaps a fighting game or a run 'n' gun or a scrolling shooter, or maybe even a competitive action puzzle game. It's really frustrating how little libre game devs understand about arcade game design. I'm not even that big of a fighting game fan myself, but I can recognize that fighting fans are chronically abused by greedy IP holders who push bad updates or bad sequels on games to keep up a perpetual income stream. Most of this crap can be resolved with a libre project where the players can actually control the direction of the game they want to play. No need for yet another unnecessary "sequel", just keep updating and fine tuning your existing game where the players themselves can contribute their insights.

I don't have any concrete ideas for the game, but the gameplay should be arcade/retro-like, good and challenging, and story shouldn't get in the way. Maybe a platformer with a feel similar to Mega Man X? If the gameplay is 2D, the graphics should be "normal" 2D artwork/animation, as opposed to pixelshit or 3D models. Preferably with individually drawn sprites, not skeleton-based Flash-like vector stuff. Like come on, why is this so uncommon? Why are games that don't use 3D graphics and aren't like, visual novels, all pixelshit?
Replies: >>271904
My idea is a videogame where [story] [story] [story] [story] and [plot] [plot] [plot] [plot].
Gameplay? Uhh you fight enemies or something.

>Maybe a platformer with a feel similar to Mega Man X?
You should make the sequel X3 could have been. Whereas X2 made the dash upgrade from X1 a default mechanic, you should make air dashing the default mechanic, with all the levels designed with it in mind.

>>271904
Megaman upgrades I've dreamed about having:
-Dash in any direction: up-left, straight up, up-right, down-right, etc..
-Dashing didn't have that lag that the double-dash had in X3.
-Dashing can be infinitely chained so you can just ZOOM AROUND EVERYWHERE
-Charge-up times are twice as fast.
-Charge-up any mimicked weapon to THIRD forms of every boss weapon.
-Force-shield to help parry.
-Grapple enemies.
-Just stick to a wall instead of repeatedly have to jump up it and slowly slide back down.
-Lets you 'home' normal buster attacks slightly.
-Lets you be slightly like Fortune from MGS2.
-Let you zoom out so you can see more of the map at once and what's ahead of you better.
Would these make the game broken? Yes.
But the more important question is: would it be hella fun? God, I'm drooling just imagining INFINITE DASH.
A fps game in the style of Timesplitters based in a alternate universe set in dystopian Europe if it taken over by south Koreans in a comic book style

I want a "Rance Warriors" from Koei Tecmo and AliceSoft. That's it, nothing else. Just rip off the plot of Hyrule Warriors and have Rance and Sill meet a few new characters while having them fight in older locations.
>maps and characters from the main series, Kichikuou Rance, and Desert Guardian, with tons of character dialogue and interactions
>rape mechanic for Rance where all of the captains are replaced with "queen" versions of whatever pack of enemies you're fighting, with greater bonuses for rape depending on difficulty setting and how quickly you can rape the queen without taking a hit from a shitton of enemies around you
>old timeline Rance and Sill (designs from IV) act as counterparts to toon characters
>game filled to the brim with remixes of Rance songs

i'd love to have a fighting game, except the catch is that it plays like a beat-em-up. instead of character DLCs, there's more stage DLCs that have gimmicky platforms and shit. any crossover stuff is limited to costumes, and characters have an extreme amount of depth and customization, and there's a constant shilling force that shows off tech you never knew existed with them instead of shoveling new DLC characters down your throat.
a bit like smash bros, but not exactly smash bros. or like this but with less gookshit

i'd also settle for a kart racer that's exactly like srb2kart except with less tranny shit, has better modding support and maybe a non-rng roulette item mode if you want to be a sweaty faggot. if that new sonic racing game has modding support in the future i'll be more than fine with that too
if i was confident there'd be an audience for either i'd be making them

Wouldn't that defeat undermine the appeal to a large fanbase? FGs are built on brand recognition and well established character design, and genuine autism tends to form around specific entries that are the most fun to learn or have the broadest appeal at the moment.
How would you be able to keep a fanbase's attention on a game heavily dependent on learning very specific situations when everyone can easily modify the essentials? When have you ever seen a large event for a MUGEN tournament?

I wish to make a God Hand clone someday.
Evil West is the only game that comes close in terms of vast attack and dodging options.
A comfy farming sim set in the rural 19th century not-german empire where you play as a cute goth girl who when sleep at night dreams of become plane and has to fight off Belkan nightmares in a hyper-realistic flight simulation practically requiring the use of a HOTAS+headtracker/VR, with the accomplishments in both game segments subtly influencing the other.
The flying part would present itself as one of those "deep" games gen Z streamersoys so adore while the farming part would stick close to idealized animu aesthetics with no NIGGERS, with the only way to achieve the good ending involving fighting off an orbital insertion by the Islamic State of HTS and their Judeo-Reptilian masters.
There should also be Pterosaur headpatting mechanics.
Physics based fantasy MMO with dungeon ecology and world simulation.
Every spell, sword thrust, arrow having proper effects down to the skeletons, skin, muscle, cardiovascular and nervous system of NPCs. Actual wounds, no number get bigger. Mana cost and duration of heals could be calculated by size and complexity of wounds, etc. Forest fires, mana fires, rocks fall and everyone dies.

I'd force my henchmen of savants to make a big VR game console of which is basically a big ball you are inside of that rotates as you walk around in it with rounded shoes. Atmosphere control. inner rings with wheels and servo motors using wheels to keep the rings level, figthing the rotation with counter balance, and objects on robotic levers and arms and such could be balanced ont he rings, platforms could form if there are sqaure shaped "hands" on the arms that reach out from the rin gso you can go up stairs and such, with the convex shape kept in mind to keep the shoes working on the platforms. They move down and away, a crecent shape, but on your backside the rings could have non convex tops of which you could sit down on or lay on.. Top rings you could hang off of or swing from. You could even swim if it is rigged to fill with water. When computers were new they costed a fuck ton, why can't the nice vr console of my dreams come true? Just charge 50k. People would buy this that are rich then the mechanics of such vr gameplay would get cheaper due to the idea going into cheaper builds such using full body suits and other gay shit.

No glasses bullshit, it should be a fucking helmet by now. A helmet and a big ball you are inside of. The cheap version should be the hip brace mat that I saw people come up with that should have came later for poor people to motivate everything in the proper order. Full body suits for vibration could also be a thing though I think that's sub par when things like this toy exist that could be used for touching something rather than vibration suits for the poor. Put some leather and magnets and shit on this toy and it's got VR potential. The bottom of the shoes you wear could have ball bearing type wheels to simulate slipping as well though they'd be heavy a bit the more complex. Bunjee could be used to simulate falling, achored to top inner rings.

Or keep wiggling those thumbs with a sore nose and other gay shit like bumping into the sides of some retardu mat. uppercut your lamp and die already. I hate this timeline.

Or you could just ask me what video game I would make them make and I'd say make another Zelda 3 tier game, another Golden Sun tier game (using magic outside of battle to solve puzzles), another Shadowgate, another Morrowind tier game. Another FPS that's not about ((( wars ))) nor Halo nor Metroid Prime but Prime tier, not to play for skills but because it's actually fun. I liked Hexan for it's art but not it's gameplay. Why not combine them all and have a first person rpg where you level up and buy things and travel the world while using magic outside of battle to solve not golden sun tier but zelda tier puzzles and also for it to be calmer like a shadowgate type of game? In animu style of course with stark shading like the original Wonderswan's Riveria the Promised land. I liked it's music. High energy during battles but the calmer music was lame a bit. Zelda has more energy when in calmer 'zones' and grating sounds during the fights generall of which is annoying. I loved the mind reading in Golden Sun also. Time travel puzzles would be good too, but Chrono Trigger was more on track than OOT. Original Zelda 3 had that better, the changing envirornment, OOT failed in comparison. Not enough time difference. Giant time jumps or it's gay. GAY

My writing is also gay so to appease your autism here is a rehashed version using duck.hoe's improve writing feature:

Your writing has a lot of creative ideas and enthusiasm, but it could benefit from some restructuring and clarity to make your points more coherent. Here’s a revised version that maintains your original concepts while improving readability and flow:

---

If I were rich and owned a game studio, I would assemble a team of brilliant minds to create an innovative VR game console. Imagine a large, spherical environment that you step inside, which rotates as you walk, equipped with rounded shoes for seamless movement. This console would feature advanced atmosphere control and inner rings with wheels and servo motors to maintain balance, counteracting the rotation.

The design would allow for objects to be balanced on these rings, with robotic arms extending to create platforms. These platforms could form stairs, designed with a convex shape to accommodate the shoes. The top rings would offer opportunities for hanging or swinging, and if rigged properly, the console could even fill with water for a swimming experience.

When computers were first introduced, they were incredibly expensive, so why can’t my dream VR console become a reality? I envision a price point of around $50,000, targeting affluent customers. As the concept gains traction, the mechanics could become more affordable, leading to the development of full-body suits and other accessories.

I believe we should move beyond cumbersome glasses and embrace a helmet design. A more affordable version could be a hip brace mat, which would serve as an entry-level option for those with limited budgets. While full-body suits for haptic feedback could be an option, I think simpler solutions, like incorporating leather and magnets into the design, would enhance the VR experience. The shoes could feature ball-bearing wheels to simulate slipping, adding to the realism, while bungee cords could create a sensation of falling, anchored to the inner rings.

As for the games I would want to create, I’d love to see a new installment in the vein of classic titles like "Zelda" or "Golden Sun," where magic is used outside of battle to solve puzzles. I envision a first-person RPG that combines elements from various genres, allowing players to level up, explore a vast world, and engage in magic-based problem-solving. The art style would be reminiscent of anime, with stark shading similar to the original Wonderswan's "Riveria: The Promised Land."

I appreciate the high-energy music during battles, but I think calmer zones could benefit from more engaging soundtracks. I also enjoyed the mind-reading mechanic in "Golden Sun" and would love to incorporate time travel puzzles, taking inspiration from "Chrono Trigger" and the original "Zelda." The key is to create significant time jumps that enhance gameplay rather than just minor shifts.

In summary, my vision for a VR console and the games it would host is ambitious, but I believe it could revolutionize the gaming experience.

Actually I liked the calmer music too not just the battle music. I contradict myself with the calmness vs not calm as I want it shadowgate tier, like n64's, quet like hexen, but also during a battle music being there is obviously downright warranted. It's cinematic and such. To feel like you're inside a new world ever present sound might be good but not ever present music. I should have typed differently. Places like a level or dungeon or quest or whatever should have more music than while outside of them of which intensify during a 'boss battle'. that's what I meant. Zelda as an example, z 3, keeps you going with high energy music the entire time in a good way though but you also fight constantly smaller enemeis and then ironically you end up hating the boss music. That is what I was thinking. Golden Sun boss music was good and so was Riverias but Zelda three tier ones were grating. A different boss music per boss might be also sorta less lame too. More music tracks but at the appropriate time.

idk it does not have to be one game anyway of course. Just where my mind goes. The savants would have to argue and deal with it and I'd be left behind with a non-funcitonal prototype that I drown roasties and darkies in I guess.

Maybe ambient noise is better than music anyway? The calmer the game the more ambient, the less calm the more music. If that makes sense. Stark shadows rather than brightness can make things seem more real too. You are not meant to see everything in life. Plot fog is a good thing as well. blah blah blah

Did you know that when rich people first bought cars mandatory ((( insurance ))) was not a thing? If you're poor you'll be treated like it. It'd quell the console's potential as rich people do whatever they want, thus all genres are uncucked. Later on the speedlimits and auto-dui's and shit come, but at first it's not gay.
Also ((( celphones ))) at fist did not record your gps positioin so the cops could chase you when it was at first only richies buying it. I could make many examples. Like middle class and up having longer breaks than impoverished class in the US. Kids today in FL don't know that the 2 or 3 months they take off was traditionally the rich at first in their horse drawn carriages, once trains were common it was middle and up. They vacationed to avoid the heat. Now that travel is "economical" you don't even have the right to fuck off 3 months a year now do you? Oculus got bought out by the government site known as fakebook. Why be so weak when you have a "ludicrous amount of money"? You like niggers or something? Most people own a home, it's more expensive than 50k. If a second life in VR is to happen 50k is actually low.

They didn't because A. early cellphones didn't have the physical capability to send nor receive GPS signals and B. uncucked GPS use wasn't even permitted for goysumers until 2000 or so.
Also prior to the late 90s not all police precincts necessarily had the equipment on hand to quickly triangulate a cell phone signal.

Most people didn't use a gps so much as most people use a cellphone. Not everyone travels a lot. A rich man would have someone else drive him while he's on his uncucked phone back then, no gps needed when the driver is driving you of whomst you pay and made sign a waver that dictates his death by fire ants if he rats to your wife, ants of which would be strategically positioned to attack you with the help of your army of lawyers and paid off cops and judges that would all agree that the paid off witnesses saw the methhead that was already in jail kill the driver with said ants.

They don't triangulate random phone signals. They check fakebook posts, ID scan points, and traffic cameras. Also cars are chipped so they check the newer ones gps location but random cells are not it. Local cops would have to call the feds for that otherwise they'd have found all those stolen bicycles that the meth head stole as he texted his friends with his cell in his right hand and his stolen bike in the left, using no handle bars as he texts while flying down a busy street full of cops on his own bicycle. Unless you kill one of their own of course in which case they actually read the wikihow tier bullshit that tells them how to traingulate wherever the goy is that shat on their retired cop's lawn.

But ANYWAY, the point is that you get what you pay for and expensive revolutionary shit is never cucked at first. Name one rich guy that had his GPS get him into trouble pre2001ish. Hell, they probably wanted to be tracked in case kidnapped, but cars being tracked, that was not at first, nor cells, they can call for help with it if they needed it unlike the gps. Prior to the 90s the police weren't turned into Israeli shock troopers due to niggers getting out from the mass arrests of the 19080s of which was caused by the faggot cameras going up to measure how much oil we were using at gas stations.

Hacking was hot decades ago. It's somewhere between lame and forgotten now. Farming, however, is pretty much as appealing as it was when video games first started getting made, if not more-so from urban hate. The interest difference is also probably related to accessibility. Only smarties want to be cyber-lords since it's esoteric and involved. Anyone can grasp the fundamentals and see the appeal of farming.
