What's your FPS tolerance? I really only care if FPS is stable. I'd rather have 25FPS instead of a jumpy range of 30-60FPS.

How would you fix chainsaws in FPS games from
>1-click visceral combat
cutscene hell? Even original Doom as compared in this video wasn't much other than W+M1.
Games tend to recreate recoil in guns, but chainguns are slow on their tracks and have kickback and yet I've never seen any attempt to recreate that girth and power.

>>318433

>>318429
Make them function like swords with a 100 percent chance to decapitate.
>>318414
This highly depends on the game. I cannot tolerate below 40-50 fps on fast-paced platformer or shooter type games. But the Elden Ring mod I am playing makes the game run around 40 fps in many places, yet it never bothers me or gameplay flow. In some cases even 60fps is not enough when I play rhythm games, due to its extremely fast nature.

/fascist/ isn't /pol/, and I'm saying that without a drop of misinterpreting your meaning. Politically Incorrect, the genuine original meaning and spirit of /pol/, including politics but was about being politically incorrect, which had massive /v/ and /tv/ overlap. It was more like /int/ or /news/ with uncensored commentary. By contrast, /fascist/ is purely political, if you negate the shitposters and active federal agents.

Introduce limited combo cqc mechanics into the game specifically for this weapon, make sure it takes skill to use this weapon and that the reward is appropriate for good use of it, making the chainsaw one of the most powerful weapons in the game. Add a few enemies and boss encounters where it is optimal to use the chainsaw as a pseudo first person swordfight thing, test out the player's skills with the weapon while giving an alternative way to take them down(that is harder) for those who just want to continue blowing shit away. If there is only one melee weapon in the game, it should feel unique and have unique mechanics and encounters centered around it, otherwise if there is other melee weapons, it should simply be the ultimate melee weapon you get later on(ie like how in Serious Sam Second Encounter you start out with a knife but eventually you get the chainsaw and never look back).

Depends on the game.
If it's a turn-based affair, 30 fps or less is acceptable.
A generic babby platformer or AAAAAA ackshin >game should run at 60, though 30 can still be acceptable if it's not worth playing to begin with.

Any other kind of real-taim action game excluding autistically emulated stuff should have 60 at the bare minimum with fps support up to 1000hz, because the memes about muh frames are in fact real I can't find any other way to explain my own absurdly high performance in the last SRB2Kart gamenight.
First time playing with my new 240hz monitor and I was trashing the other Anons in spite of not having played the game outside of sleepy gamenights for the past 4 years. It didn't feel like my driving or reaction time had seen a jump, rather it was as if the not-too-perceptible-but-still-there additional frames simply gave my niggerbrain more data to work with leading to better split second microadjustments and thus slightly better corner lines, more ultra-narrow orbi dodges, better timing on item throws etc.
I've played with Anons before several times on my prior 60hz monitor and tended to be in the upper middle of the pack, there were some Anons I couldn't out-kart without relying on item RNG but last time I was able to routinely beat both Hostfag and Wolfgirls in spite of the 150 ping on my end.

Not sure about stability though, fps wonkyness may be less perceptible above 120 but I'm not sure since the games I play at 240 have lower hardware requirements from the start.
Game from the webm is a great benchmark for this sort of thing.
Has anyone here ever gone as far even as to try one of them LLM integrator agentic harness mods for Toddler games?
Having seen the depths of idiocy even the latest frontier sloppers that would surely generate infinite money by doing your mom's job can get up to on the regular, I can only imagine a rather poor simulacrum of a >game with them shoved in barring some really good system prompting on the side of harness mod devs.

Referring to shit like Mantella, CHIM, Skyrimnet and so on for those blissfully unenlightened.
