No, it's not a hackerman browser, it's just plain old Links (links.twibright.com) which probably will also not intelligently flow the text in a very wide terminal. But hey, this is a very old and small browser, unlike whatever bloated monstrosity you're using. So that's my point: all the so-called "progress" since the 90's has done nothing whatsoever to make text readable.
And maybe that's the whole idea... to make long posts unreadable, so people are forced to only post 140 char twats that don't have room for any real discussion.
Every web forum and related (including image and text boards) are far behind Usenet. And I mean in every way, not just how the text is displayed, but the interface, threading controls, filtering, archiving, even the protocol itself.
Oh, and having to type in a tiny web form is bonkers! Usenet let you configure whatever text editor you wanted to compose your posts, and it worked automatically (no need to manually copy/paste shit).
