Your community literally cannot be banned or blocked by anyone, even a government. it solves that problem

Literally nothing wrong with that, especially now that scaling/efficiency has been solved

First, it's local clientside open source software, so it's not like there's any spoopy phone home browser magic involved.

Second, that's just an implementation detail of the current reference library. The standard itself permits the API to be implemented in any language or framework.
