How do i build ratio on private trackers in a good way? For example torrentleech. I tried seeding new torrents but lets say something just got uploaded then theres like 50 people with seedboxes that autosnatch the torrent and i cant compete with seedbox speeds. Lets say i dl a 20gb file. Then i'll at most get a few gb upload but then its done. Next to no one seems to leech on there so you have to seed the file for 10 days which is something i cant do at the time.
That brings me to my second question.
I want to get more storage. Im pretty computer illiterate but would getting a nas and putting some ssds in it be better than putting some ssds in my pc? For seeding ofcourse. And what about raid. Should i even bother with setting that up? When i think about nas i think about vulnerabilities because its connected to the internet but with a nas i wouldnt have to keep my computer on at all times. I have port forwarding on the vpn i use so seeding should work fine in the first place. It's just that i don't seem to have the storage or time to do it in the first place but thats something i want to change. In the first place i think 10 days is very strict. A 1080p remux can be between 20-40gb and mind you thats only ONE movie. I watch alot of movies so my drive would be filled to the brim before 10 days to even get the first movie to be watched.

All I can tell you IME is sit and wait, wait, and wait some more. And hope nobody bitches at you for not waiting long enough.

Then you really don't need to worry about it all that much, doing shit like RAID arrays and NVM is if you really wanna geek out and min-max to the fullest and don't mind paying 5x the price for 2x the performance. So you really don't need anything more than a few SSD external drives or even really cheap plain ol' Seagates if you don't mind if it's relatively slow but cheap as hell. Especially if you don't mind how slow USB is, hours to copy terabytes across tens to hundreds of thousands of files from your PC. And then copy everything to both drives separately, one after another, so in case one fails you have redundancy to save your ass without having to fuck around with data recovery which can be expensive or a pain in the ass to do on your own. With cheap drives it's not worth the cost in time and money to do data recovery.

How do I get into a private tracker in the first place?

Open signups. For example torrentleech usually has open signups every couple of months and they'll probably open it up the christmas month.
I have a more basic question: Anyone know any good open trackers?

Pirate Bay isn't really what it used to be.

hello fren
rutracker. i personally seed rare 80s french bands that only have 2 seeds (over dht as well), so issues like
>cant compete with seedbox speeds
don't occur here as i'm only one with content. you are stuck with me. private trackers (the ones i used anyway) never had the content i needed. turned out soulseek was better option

I found a solution. Im going to buy a rasperry pi and a ssd for it and then just seed 24/7 from it

Well, yes, if you want to have a high ratio you just have to seed all the time with a seedbox. Although if you want to be really serious you should hook up at least 2 high capacity HDDs to it, and use zfs to mirror their content between each other, so that even if one of them dies you have a backup. And you can also mount those drives on your desktop with sshfs, so that you can watch your Japanese cartoons without having to also download them twice.

i know no torrent client that supports ech. it would be excellent if it did though as rutracker trackers have ech
>SSDs
Why even? If you want storage, you get more bang for your buck by buying HDDs instead. It's not like you'll be seeding at 100 MB/s anyway.
So, what would be a good torrent client for a headless serves? I mostly torrent anime via RSS, specifically with this script:
https://github.com/Rafostar/shell-rss-torrent
But I also prefer to have the actual .torrent files instead of relying on magnet links. So I'd just want a client where I can specify a few watch directories for the .torrent files and the same number of corresponding directories for the files to be downloaded. Which should be a rather basic feature set.
Private trackers is exactly what torrenting is Not about and thus a scam. They're also filled with ??? idiots that think they're part of a koolkidzklub.

You cant blame people for not seeding while bastardizing file sharing. Its ridiculous and hypocrisy. Seed your torrents and everyone will be happy. The number is personal honor as a librarian not belonging or gay ass fake validation.
By the way, i range ban block all the shadowskin countries like india and israel right in my torrent config now hows that for a private tracker. pretty cool huh?

If i hate a certain area of people i collect their area range and block them. Not one currynigger or foreskin peeler or cosmopolitan nigger worshipper gets a single bye of whatever i have.
