It became a billion+ dollar business without even having a product released.
People are milking it for content for years, this year alone I think they created something in the hundreds of millions, just for the company alone. If you include how much people are earning like advertising, journalists, streamers, youtubers, influencers and what not it's already on a billion level.
It's just hype, but hype works.
If the snake oil salesman knew about this he would make a giant pre-sale and in a years long advertising campaign and creating a sort of religion, so when his products fail people would defend him because they are too much invested on the business.
