Could be, yes. It may have just been coincidence that IBs were hit at similar times. But too many coincidences keep amounting.

It takes seconds to bypass those things.
That's the thing, though. OurChan had reasonably advanced systems in place, AFTER consulting with experienced jannies and mods from other IBs that dealt with this problem (and very likely from experienced programmers in that very trashchan thread which one of you anons linked). All the basic methods were handled. Their solution was/is pretty advanced from any other IB I've seen attempt auto-moderation. The spammers worked around updating word filters, hashing, perception hashing, and more (I don't know what else since I was never on the inside of their team nor a programmer of the sort to deal with this kind of problem myself). The userbase is tiny on the IBs such as End, Frens, Our, and elsewhere. It would have wasted a massive amount of time to curtail it for OC, which they nevertheless did despite that IB only having ~125 frequent unique users for a window of time after 4cucks went down.
If you read the trashchan thread link which the anon posted here above, you'll see the anons below the OP reaching a similar conclusion as me. I have the added benefit of citing a direct example that anyone can check themselves at OC (not shilling the IB, I just hate being vague).
