What are some manga/anime that delves into Buddhist themes and concepts? Like not something that's literally about Buddhism like "Buddha" from Osamu Tezuka, just a normal manga that subtly mentions it. Think of it like how Gnosticism is often used in many manga.
I searched and only found Land of the Illustrious and some say Shamo but didn't read it as of yet.

Saiyuki is a good series, but maybe that's too blatantly Buddhist for what you're asking.

I personally have no religious beliefs and find the world too absurd to even have such a creator or such a thing as a god.
The only way I could a explain a god that could exist in my mind and our shared reality would be he is so far beyond our understanding that he ultimately ends up like a kid with a ant farm that he just simply forgot.

Hunter X hunter kind of I feel like posting this is redundant since anyone has watched anime probably has seen it but you never know some people are so anti Shounen they forget there was actually good ones.

Yeah it's pretty trashy anime is worse than it should be. IMO I found it to be more interesting than other mainstream Shounen shit of today that got anime adaptations.
>power makes more sense than demon slayer
>none of the characters are really annoying
>main character isn't really a bitch or a awkward kid just a young adult coming to terms with the world despite everything against him

Buddhism is a radical centrist religion where they claim both sides of every position is wrong and that everything is empty, so you would fit right in.

Do you get off on being called a fag or a pathetic loser? Sorry anon I'm flattered but I'm not really into guys I'm sure you'll find another Dom but today's not the day unless there's a misunderstanding.
Kouya ni Kemono Dokokosu
There's a fair amount of subtext and discussion about the line between man and beast and instinct as an analog for dharma. One of the main bad guys also has that zen thing going on where he effectively has superpowers because he skips thought and goes straight from intent to action. Fantastic art, lots of gory violence, native americans being dicks, and a cute monkey girl. What's not to like?

Sei Itoh seems to quite like Buddhist and Hindu themes in general for what he works on. Probably part of why he pairs well with Yumemakura Baku for adapting the latter's writings. Shame more of his work isn't in English, or in some cases, even fully available as easily accessible raws yet to even make that happen.
