I watched Isabelle no Paris simply because it was looking at anime about rare historical event/era, in this case the Paris Commune. It gave me a good impression of historical shoujo so I might actually tackle the huge classic that is Rose of Versailles once; cross-dressing girls are cute, I think of them as tomboys who put extra efforts.
Gaston was too good for Isabelle btw

I finished reading The Useless Saint and the Cursed Holy Knight recently. Hilarious manga and the FL is unhinged, just like i like it. Doormat protagonists are boring.

I used to read a lot of shoujo, especially oneshots before I found the chans.
I still remember series like Hapi-Mari and ore monogatari

I don't watch much shoujo, but I started watching Rose of Versailles, and I decided to drop it in favour of Ashita no Nadja. It's a very cute story about an orphan potato trying to find her mama, traveling the world with a circus troupe after her orphanage gets burned down. Sounds kind of generic, but the overall story is actually pretty good, with decent variety in the episodic plots, without diluting main story arc. It's very fun.

Can't believe the reason I watched Nadja in the first place was because of a gachimuchi version of the opening and I thought the music was good so I got interested in the actual anime. I still think the final part of the opening(tv size) is better in the final dance part with the gachimuchi version.
