Thread for mainly discussing the latest chapters, for the Elbaf Arc.

>Elbaf Arc
After decades of anticipation since Little Garden, we finally reached Elbaf, and the major is that the God Knights are invading.

>Kid's Defeat
Eustass Kid, a rival to Luffy, arrives at Elbaf intending to claim the final Road Poneglyph. However, he is utterly defeated by Shanks and his fleet, demonstrating the overwhelming power of the Red-Haired Pirates.

>Saul and the Ohara Survivors
Elbaf also reconnects with the mystery of Jaguar D. Saul, who survived the Ohara incident. Saul has been recovering in Elbaf, protected by the giants. His knowledge of the books saved from Ohara is likely critical to the final pieces of the Void Century puzzle.

>The Final Road Poneglyph’s Location:
Currently possessed by the "man with the burn scar"

>Elbaf’s Library and History:
Elbaf has its own ancient texts and relics from the Void Century, colelcted from the Ohara surviving books.

>Remaining Mysteries

Last two chapters were such big dudu. Oda threw away everything that’s been set up for God Valley and instead gave us a corny typical shonen arc.
We first thought Roger and Garp had a solid reason to fight Rocks, like maybe Garp just had this unshakable principle of hating pirates that he will take any of them out, even a man like Rocks who was trying to save his family, but no gray morality no longer exist in One Piece anymore, everyone is either white or black like the Reversi board. Which makes look back on Marineford and yet again ask if Garp fought against Imu the head of WG, then to him it has no legitimacy anymore, so for what reason did he let Ace dies then? For loyalty? He doesn’t have one. Garp allied with Rocks in order for him to protect Teach, but allowed Ace to die when it’s exactly the same situation. The story now contradicts itself.
And for Roger, we thought Rocks was his rival, or did some really heinous shit for Roger to go against him in God Valley but no, he became a monster and the good man Roger stopped him. No stakes at all.
As for Rocks he was robbed of having a full fight on his own merit, all his fights so far were one or two blows off screen, and the most important one in his career, which made his legend will be fought with Imu’s powers. That’s just humiliating.
The Rocks Crew also got nothing, no Shiki fight, no Captain John fight or lore, except that he’s Kidd’s father because they both have captain in their names duh, and since he’s his father he has the same fruit, no originality at all no interesting reveals. God Valley has been a massive letdown and an improvised story and reactionary to recent events contrary to being the basis for them. For example Roger simping for Shaky is to justify Sanji having conqueror haki because readers mocked the gag aspect of his character which hurt Oda’s feeling because he likes it. There’s nothing in the story that indicated Shaky was that important character at all, period.
god is this thing ugly

Man, that reads like an old 1930s comic book.
