Out of curiosity (and potential need to rec to normalfags in the future), does anyone know of any anime with official free internet releases? Not counting random 1st episode only stuff

>Gundam Info has a rotating set of Gundam TV series and movies
>Tubi has some random stuff (mostly late 80s to early 2000s), mostly at low resolution only and is heavily region locked (North and central America+UK+Australia+New Zealand, and I'm sure some of the catalog is region specific)

There’s some that released on YouTube.

Yes, but what is there?

Muse Asia released many, like Re:Zero. But you need an asian vpn, because after people compared about crunchyroll subs and started watching in Muse Asia instead, they forced them to block the content for most countries.
Toei is releasing a few old things (original Digimon in English and Spanish, original precure in English, Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo in English, Doremi in English and Spanish, and Saint Seiya in Spanish) at a rate of 2 episodes per weekend as part "SUMMER WEEKEND SPLASH" livestreams on their official animation. Unfortunately dub only and Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo is certainly the only one with an English dub worth anything (I'm unqualified to say anything about the Spanish side, though I understand Saint Seiya is very popular in Latin American). Appear to be region locked to the Americas (minus Iceland/Greenland and, for some reason, Peru. Plus that small bit of France) plus Australia, New Zealand, and South America. No idea how how long they'll be up, though I'm guessing "end of summer" or slightly after.
Chibi Maruko-Chan has both dub and sub up in a few languages.

New here.
I am admittedly not usually an /a/ poster on any chan, and I wouldn't really say that I'm a diehard watcher of anime, nor a reader of manga.
Nevertheless, I'd proffer
[link removed because it's probably a shill making the post and it's most likely filled with malware]
as my go-to for both dubbed and subbed titles.
Completely free and it's unnecessary to create an account unless you really have to watch some of the premium specials from a series;(I never have.)
I might also suggest always using a VPN, regardless of where you watch these days--Proton is a great free and anonymous one, and their email accounts are pretty standard for anonymity as well.
I know I'm necromancing ITT, but I wanted to both offer a resource, and ask about good series to watch, since I've run through most all of the usually suggested ones, heavily focused on cyberpunk, and dungeon adventures.
Not much for the Vampire ones, and although Attack on Titan started out very interesting, honestly I lost interest by season 4 Ep.9.

Lost in Abyss was great, and some of the slower but more art driven stories like Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou.
I'll probably try Time of Eve as a follow-up.

 Any suggestions are welcome.

thread is about OFFICIAL and free releases, this doesn't look like official stuff just another shitty pirate site that scrap and re-upload while adding a fucking watermark(of kissanime on top so they scrapped a fucking streaming site and not even directly from a fansub or legit site)
also you don't need a VPN for a fucking streaming site, only for torrents if you live in a shithole with harsh anti-piracy laws so at that point if you get a VPN just torrent because its better in every way
>premium specials are a thing on that site too
I genuinely don't know if this is an april fool or not, but my suggestion is to ditch that site asap and get into torrent or IRC bots. The sooner you learn to evolve from this bottom of the septic tank braindead shit the better. It's all so retarded that I'm not sure if it's bait.

Rust in pieces, Faggot.
I'm sure your "Tism" or whatever caused your hyperbolic overload into ATTACK MODE!!1! when you saw my LOTGH screenshot from 5 years ago from a different site altogether.

Did you even look at the site to verify your shitty accusations?
NO? Really? A projecting FATASS, incel retard like you wouldn't even have the balls to check out his unfounded accusations since doing so might threaten his(?)unfounded sanctimonious yet fragile self opinion??
COLOR ME SHOCKED!
I'm gay and trans btw
Suck on that Faggot.
Enjoy your dead thread/Site/empty life passively consoooming the creations of others then.

Seems the death of imageboards is finally here.
This is the 4th one in 3 years that has been completely enshittified by assholes like you.
You do it to yourself...

How do I have anything to do with that post?
Also I support the /a/ owner's decision. Fuck dumb niggers from Russia or India trying to subtly shill their toiletbowl websites.
Also
If you don't torrent shit through a VPN, you're gay. If you watch shit through some random kanime replacement, you're gay and retarded. Fuck you.

You fags and your cope are hilariously pitiful.
I'm a fucking American, White, German stock 4th gen.
My grandfather served under MacArthur as a munitions expert--meaning, for you kids... He was over in Hiroshima and Nagasaki less than a week after the bombs dropped.

Sad really.
I watched the death and conversion of ∞chan, then 4chins after 2013, then the death of FrensChan, then the self-destruct of OurChan through Spergy moderation and hamhanded dealing with both Elgin shills and Kike CP spammers.
I'd HOPED that perhaps this chan might be different, but it would seem that the CANCER that changed once fun Imageboards from intelligent and sometimes goofy, but creatively retarded, not just acerbic MilliennialSPEW, and the "I learned it from watching YOU dad" mentality of emulating the self-same shills that were trying to destroy those first American forays into Vietnamese snake measuring forums.
As for "ON TOPIC", not ONE poast since mine has had ANY suggestions for good series, Nor any sort of Free sites other than mine.

THIS

NGMI, Mr.PRODUCT.

WTF is Kanime?
You guys fucking some kind of "Purists"?
So...you guys like spend the extra $2.50 for the brand name tendies when the Aldi's "Knock-offs" are from the same factory and often Better anyway?
Cool...
I can see the rabid infighting here is on par with every other Reddit-teir derived shithole.

Good for YOU!

Storage was cheap two years ago. Surely some storage devices still are now, but perhaps not the fuckhueg multi-TB ones for third-worlders.

Dunno if OP's still here or if anyone's still interested, but Archive.org has some occasional gold. Very little seems to be locked out via paywall, only real gripe is a ton of stuff is dubiously mislabeled ("Dave's Anime Folder 1: 75308 items") or in Spanish. Gotta say, it's still fun to watch Lain in 4:3 VHS quality with yellow hardsubs.

TY for the straightforward reply.
I can only assume that the board mod or whatever took my SS from a youtube video of LOTGH from 5 years ago as an indictment.
I've never seen a watermark from them at the site I originally posted, and they are pretty good at being updated as new eps. come out.
I just watched Chainsawman last month, just kind of meh, tbh.
I enjoyed the jarring visuals and storyline of Made in Abyss.
I may have also mentioned getting stuck on season4 ep.9 of Attack on titan months ago...
too much of a slog.
Have watched most all of the more serious, "Based" titles...
I simply came ITT to find some better suggestions than just Startpaging "Top 50 anime series in 2026"
Thought I'd proffer a site I'd used almost exclusively for the past 3 years with no ill effects as contribution, but you see where that got me.

kek! I just DL'd a film from there tonight, not anime, but you're right, there's some breddy good stuff there.
Makes me wonder if Anna's archive might also have video...
<Checking...
Well, they definitely have manga there

They also had to change addresses again, it's now:

last file is just fun for the Lain lovers.

Archive.org probably doesn't count as official in most cases but you can find some genuine abandonware so might as well be that. I heard some people use it for current anime too, don't know why when actual torrent trackers are thing but I guess it's nice if you don't want to torrent and can't use IRC bots. Or maybe they just use it as their own hosting service and it just happen they post anime.
On the plus side, it might save the really obscure stuff from being stuck on a dead torrent if it's hosted somewhere with direct downloads.
VHS is fun, the sound quality is pretty nostalgic however having good headphones can make it painful because of the constant background hiss especially on tv recordings as opposed to official VHS/Betamax.

>>1406
yeah sure I was cyberstalking you 5years ago only to post YOUR screenshot(that has been vectored so it's not even a screenshot), not like it's on of the most popular meme from LOGH and not like LOGH isn't even obscure to begin with. At first I thought you were a retarded 3rd worlder and was trying to be helpful in teaching you the errors of your way(being watching streamed anime on some pozzed site) on top of pointing out you were off-topic, but seeing as you are having a meltdown over this petty shit I think you are just mentally retarded and in need of attention preferably medical.
Still I think it's important that people, which include lurkers, learn that there are way way better alternatives to watching anime from some sketchy site that probably mine crypto and spam you will malware ads. Torrenting is obviously the superior choice because of its superior quality(no streaming compression or lag), guaranteed to stay alive as long people seed even if you delete it after watching it unlike sites that randomly die, a better choice of subs since they are softsubs and you can dl them separately if you don't like the one that came by default(like wanting some different type of translation with different namefagging and honorific as an example). It come at the cost that anyone in the swarm can see the IP that you are torrenting with, but you can easily spoof it by using a proxy/VPN. Nyaa is already perfect for every modern seasonal anime and it's a public tracker so there is basically barrier to watching anime via torrenting apart from being stubborn and retarded. If you are paranoid about the CIA spying on you, the most secure way to get anime would be to connect to Rizon via a proxy/VPN and get the anime via trusted XCDD bots. I guess this might be like telling a kid that Santa isn't real but those sketchy and gay anime site that you are using get their anime from there, so they are just middlemen at best and you get whatever version they decided to pick with hardsubs and their own watermark. Sorry if not wanting a fucking watermark from ANOTHER streaming site is elitism to you but at some point it's not elitism but rather basic decency.

I was at OfficeMax a couple weeks ago and not only had their prices on data storage massively jumped, but their stock was lower than post Black Friday weekend. It might not be the worst idea to buy chinkshit or from SEA and just wait.

They really are. Been looking for old OVAs, and rediscovering Russ Meyer. It's a fun trip!

Maybe not, but the site seems more than willing to comply with corpo C&D's when it comes up. If Gainax or BanCo or whoever has a problem with it, the content could have been taken down or monetized ages ago.
>Dead Torrents
This was one of the breaking points that got me browsing Archive in the first place. Even 10 years ago it was orders of magnitude easier to find seeds on anything remotely obscure. I miss the days of tracking down an album and stumbling upon the user's great collection of old goth music or B-movies. Hell, at this point, I miss having to update Shockwave Player. ;_;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=550SBw10FWM
Bandai filmwork uploaded this(13th ep of the Patlabor ova if the link is dead). I don't really go on youtube to watch anime, but more and more japanese studio upload their stuff on youtube temporarely. I think you can download it with youtube premium I think(and youtube-dl) so it's probably the closest thing to free legal anime. Only issue is having to catch it while it's still up.
Some video are japanese dub with no subs so it's obviously aimed at their own domestic audience but maybe they got some international channel that also upload, I haven't checked.
I must say, this shit is mimicking TV airing and being forced to constantly be on the look out for stuff to watch isn't ideal for random normalfag discovering stuff since they might catch it on the last episode like I just did. Never ever paid or went to an official simulcast site but don't they stay up forever after? Doubt the avg normalfag getting into anime will stop whatever he's doing to watch that anime before it get removed over simply being a CR paypig.
Maybe one day, they will go back to the days of putting sponsors after the opening(probably still happen on tv but those are removed on streaming versions) and thus let the anime stay online forever as a way for the studios to get more money directly.
