>actual japs accept them
Breakfast question: If "actual japs" jumped off a cliff, would you follow suit?
What I'm getting at is that Japan and Japanese "otaku" are on a decline and if you wanted to imitate them, you'd play and whale multiple gacha and watch vtumors and be into western slop like Undertale and you'd also be super pro-copyright/anti-piracy and wouldn't even be reposting your gook archive Xitter "art" slop on imageboards because muh 無断転載禁止.
We have to be critical of them and take the good parts from Japan and Japanese otaku, but I think you're probably just like the average gook archive fag in the west who's not genuinely trying to imitate "actual japs" and just tosses that as a weak excuse, and in reality you just can't resist riding the wave of gook archive and indulging in all the gook archive slop that's being released because you're too weak minded to go against the current and be more selective in what you engage.

I think you're applying an arbitrary standard whilst ignoring the new otaku of today, which are mostly high schoolers. I believe the recline is mostly in your head. In truth, anime and adjacent hobbies are more popular than ever, for better or for worse. Like yourself, I used to be more strict in what I allowed myself to enjoy. Then I realized that I didn't have to conform to any binding consensus, either from society at large, or from even more niche communities such as this one. I now firmly believe that fun things are fun. As an aside, I have befriended several natives in my travels throughout Japan. I can assure you, I have been in tune with their culture for an age!

Most importantly, it's my money, it's my game, kill jestah. Also fuck you second warning.

/japan/'s first babbyget is coming up. Why not celebrate by stealing some digits? Join the team today and receive free nice cream. You'll also get all the stolen valor you want!

To play the game of kings, all you have to do is make a post in a similar style to ones on our quilt. A new Marquee thread instead of a reply earns more prestige. Points are awarded based on the value of your GET:
1-9999 ~ 0 points (babbyget)
10000-99999 ~ 1 point (minor league GET)
100000-999999 ~ 2 points (major league GET)
1000000+ ~ 3 points (professional GET)
Sanctioned GETs are the first digit followed by only 0s, sequential integers, or pure repeating numbers. (e.g 300000, 123456, 55555 etc.) Posts that just include dubs or greater are not true GETs. (177777, 34567, 220000 etc.)

You may choose to represent our board in the subject field, or any other you like. The more players the merrier! If you catch others sagebombing to GET easily, feel free to Honk them! Bump their shit with or without a Chen to increase the difficulty of the match by alerting jannies. If you end up wasting a GET, don't feel too bad. It happens to everyone once in a while. Just come back after cooling off your hothead.

Don't forget to screenshot your GETs incase the janny decides to del!!!

Update: baka has resumed payments and the server is back online. Although, now that I think about it, rather than immediately starting with another game, I think now is a good time to get some maintenance stuff done. The videoserver software apparently has an update, and I'd I've been meaning to revamp the website for a while. For now, we'll be on a short break, but I'll probably still stream occasionally.

In the meantime, please review the shortlist of games that I want to play and let me know if you think of something interesting. I would like to continue with the theme of japanese-only import games, but browsing CD Romance lead me to the conclusion that it is 90% visual novels.

>The Maid Fuku to Kikanjuu
Another japanese only game. It looks like a short cereal-box tier game from the "Simple 2000 Series," but given it's japanese and it's for the PS2 it appears to have full voice acting... somehow. I played a bit. It's kinda bad, but in a fun way. I think it will be a good holdover until I figure out what to stream next.

>Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon
It's a game about the legendary thief Goemon... except instead of being a thief he is a ninja who is forever protecting feudal japan from the degenerate influence of the western world. Growing up, I played the other N64 Goemon game and only got to play this one at a friends house. Apparently the JP version has voice acting for the cutscenes, and they just cut that out from the EN release. It's got a lot of dumb humour, waifus, yokai, platforming and . Goemon pilots a sentient gundam replica of himself for the boss battles, and it is as exactly as awesome as it sounds.

There was a PC recomp that was recently released, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to work with the JP version yet. IDK the state of N64 emulation, but las time I tried there were graphics issues.

>Graffiti Kingdom
Spore, but a platformer? Somebody suggested this, it looks neat.

It's pretty decent but it depends on settings and emulators but don't expect toasters to run well.
I would avoid most emulator frontends because they push pride retardation once a year and go with Ares or Retroarch.

Who the fuck is "we"?
I'll tell you what I think: I like it when they drawn a brown girl that is just a palette swap of a regular animegirl. It superficially agrees with the discourse that "skin color doesn't matter" while implicitly stating that drawing actual negroid features would have ruined her.
If you pay attention, often when someone tries to force dark skin on a girl, they can't help but give her thin lips and a small nose because, despite all the brainwashing, they instinctively know those are aesthetically superior.

I very much notice this phenomenon, but I think it would be more interesting to discuss the implications of this artist apparently only drawing a brown girl when commissioned by a western tranny.

The novelai model seems to output higher quality overall when compared to the waifu diffusion model. I've been messing around with editing images using stable diffusion and overall it's been working great. You still have to fix a number of things yourself, however it significantly lowers the difficulty of large edits. The biggest annoyance I've run into is how it has trouble with eyes, hands, and inner layers of clothing. Another thing it struggles with is personality, it's very hard to not get an image that doesn't seem at least somewhat generic.
